ESD Shielding Tape is an electrical tape used in work areas where there are components and devices that are sensitive to static electricity (ESDS – Electro Static Dissitive Sensitive).

Structure and operating principle

Antistatic tapes are usually made from materials that can conduct electricity or disperse charges such as:

-PET film: A type of plastic film with high durability, good heat resistance and antistatic ability.
-Acrylic adhesive layer: The adhesive layer has the ability to conduct electricity slightly, helping to disperse charges.
-Antistatic coating: A special coating that enhances the antistatic ability of the tape.

Working principle:

When in contact with other materials, anti-static tape will absorb and disperse the charge, preventing the accumulation of static electricity on the surface of electronic components.
